Privacy policy
Effective 9 October 2026
ingot has no accounts and no servers that store your training. Your logbook stays on your phone. When you use an AI feature, the data that feature needs is sent to an AI model to get an answer and is not kept by us. We do not sell data, show ads or track you across apps.
Who we are
ingot ("we", "us") is a strength training app for iPhone. If you have a question about this policy, email rudralakhani2005@gmail.com.
What stays on your phone
Everything you enter is stored only in the app's local storage on your device:
- Your profile: name, date of birth, body weight, height, sex (optional), training experience and preferred units.
- Your training splits, workout history, sets, reps, weights, notes and readiness check-ins.
- Notes the coach keeps about you, such as an injury or equipment you lack.
- App settings, and a random install ID described below.
We cannot see this data. It is not synced to any cloud service run by us. Apple's own device backups may include it, under Apple's privacy policy.
What leaves your phone, and why
AI coaching
Coach advice, coach chat, split generation, importing a pasted workout and some analytics summaries use AI models. The app asks for your permission before any of this is sent, and you can turn it off at any time in Profile, AI coaching. When it is on, the app sends the information each request needs, which can include your name (so the coach can address you), profile details (age, body weight, height, sex, experience), goals, your split, relevant workout history, coach notes and the message you typed.
The request goes to our relay server on Cloudflare, which forwards it to OpenRouter, which passes it to the AI model provider that answers. The relay does not log or store the content of requests. Model providers process the request under their own terms to produce an answer.
If you say no, turn it off later, or have no connection, the app works offline with built-in rules and nothing is sent.
Install ID and IP address
The app creates a random ID when installed and sends it with AI requests so the relay can limit how often one install calls it. It is not tied to your identity or to Apple's device identifiers, and it is deleted when you delete the app. Cloudflare sees your IP address when your phone connects, which we use only for rate limiting.
Subscriptions
Purchases are handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether you have ingot Pro. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase history and basic device information. We never receive your payment details.
Feedback you send
If you send feedback from the app, we receive your message, the app version and your phone's operating system version, plus your email address only if you choose to add it. It is delivered to us by email through Resend. We use it to reply and to improve the app.
If you write to us through the support page on our website, we receive your message, your email address and your browser's version string. It reaches us the same way, through Resend, and we use it only to reply.
Coach replies you report
If you long-press a coach reply and choose Report, we receive that reply and the message you sent just before it, plus the app version and your phone's operating system version. Nothing else from your log or profile is sent. It reaches us the same way as feedback, through Resend, and we use it only to find and fix wrong or harmful answers.
Exercise images
Exercise photos load from GitHub's servers when shown, so GitHub receives a standard web request from your device, including your IP address.

None of this is used for advertising or tracking, and none of it is sold.
Health information
ingot does not use Apple Health. Body measurements and anything you tell the coach about pain or injury are stored on your device, and are only sent off it as part of the AI requests described above.
Your choices and deleting your data
- Erase everything: Profile, then Erase all data. This deletes all ingot data from your phone. Deleting the app does the same.
- Edit or remove sessions: from History.
- Export: your history as CSV or PDF, or a full backup file, from the app.
- Turn off AI: Profile, then AI coaching. Nothing more is sent; logging and progression still work.
Because we do not hold your training data, there is nothing on our side to delete. To delete feedback or reports you sent us, email us and we will remove them.
Children
ingot is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
